Sales can be one of the scariest, and most anxiety provoking aspects of being a Functional Medicine doctor. The motivation to want to help people improve the quality of their health doesn’t stem from a desire to get rich, but all too frequently doctors associate making money with guilt.

It’s safe to assume that sales training was left out of your Functional Medicine training, causing you to feel less than prepared, and less than confident when you are sitting in front of a patient.

SO HOW DO YOU SELL THEM WHAT THEY NEED TO GET BETTER WITHOUT COMING ACROSS TOO “SALESY?”

• What words do you use?
• What if they don’t buy?
• What if my prices too high?
• How do I get them to commit?

These are just some of the questions I get from doctors regarding their painful sales consult experiences.

The truth of the matter is it’s quite simple. STOP selling. Stop thinking about price. Stop wondering whether or not you think the patient sitting in front of you can afford it.
